Our Technology

Our modular hydrometallurgical systems incorporate proprietary selective extraction, mineral enrichment and crystallisation stages that produces saleable chemical products from battery waste. These include lithium carbonate, graphite, NMC, pCAM and more, while keeping CAPEX costs under control.

We are the first company to commercialise Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) in Europe, a process which is integrated into our full hydromet system, enabling high lithium recoveries and zero waste.

The modular nature of our process enables investment costs to scale with feedstock growth, minimising the risk of having stranded assets. The flexibility of the design also enables ease of integration into existing battery collectors/manufacturers’ facilities, ensuring transport costs are minimised.

Our Process

Our technology enables the recovery of high-purity, high-value materials such as battery-grade lithium carbonate. A by-product of our process is freshwater which can be reused, discharged or sold.

Our configurable systems can be tailored to the customers needs and can adapt to varying chemistries, battery form factors and production scraps.

Our Model

  • We partner with new and existing players in the battery value chain who want to increase their profitability and reduce waste.

  • Our modular systems are rapidly deployable so they can be integrated seamlessly into your process train. Our build-own-operate model takes the CAPEX and complexity of mineral refining away while the mutual value-creation commercially benefits both parties.

  • Recycling facilities can have high capital costs and slim margins.

    Shredding processes produce low-value black mass while conventional hydro- or pyrometallurgical processes generate secondary wastes which are costly to deal with and reduce margins.

    Our approach converts all battery elements into saleable products, generating no waste (including wastewater) and provides positive margins even for the most challenging chemistries.
